Ressi SLS Primer 1 is a latex based primer to be used over concrete and cementitious surfaces prior to the application of A self-levelling screeding materials such as Ressichem Ressi SLS 610. It forms a tacky film over the cementitious floor surfaces which aids in better binding of the screed over the cementitious surface.

Ressi SLS Primer 1 is free from any solvents, plasticizers and ammonia. Ressi SLS Primer 1 can also be used as an additive in the self-levelling screed materials if further crack reduction from the material and flexibility is required

Application

Ensure the concrete cementitious surface is clean and free from dust, oil or any material which would hinder adhesion. The product may be further diluted with water depending on substrate condition and absorption.

Ensure thorough coverage. Prior to application of self-levelling screed, the primer must be tacky to touch. If dry, apply another coat. Screed application must be done while primer remains tacky (not fully dry).

Coverage

As a neat bonding agent: 5–7 m² / Ltr / Coat. Actual coverage depends on texture and porosity of substrate.

As an additive for tile adhesives, bedding mortars, sand-cement renders, plasters and screeds: dosage may vary from 10–20% by weight of cement. Follow recommended mix design for optimum results.
